Today, ballots for our April 7 municipal elections were mailed to every eligible voter. We encourage you to fill out your ballot and return it to one of the many secure drop box locations across the city.

While assembly races are non-partisan, the AK GOP has issued sweeping endorsements of their MAGA candidates – our opponent among them.

Our opponent has spent his time on the Anchorage School Board serving as an obstructionist. He repeatedly voted against fair teacher contracts, and most recently, baselessly accused his colleagues on the school board of engaging in “illegal” conduct related to the closure of Lake Otis Elementary School.

If elected, he will bring that same dysfunction and divisive political rhetoric to the Assembly, risking the progress we have made – and must continue to make in our Midtown community.

I am committed to working collaboratively with my colleagues, current administration, and the community at large to address our city’s most pressing challenges. We need to focus on public safety, housing, and economic development. That requires leaders who are willing to do the hard work of governing to keep us moving forward.

Midtown deserves competent leadership. If you live in District 4, please mark your ballot for Janice Park and return it to a secure drop box before 8:00 PM on April 7.
